Established in 2008, Ravenhill Removals began with a single van and a simple mission: to help people move.
Founder Mark Ravenhill started by assisting customers with local moves in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. What began as a one-man operation quickly grew. With more vans, a dedicated team, and a growing customer base, Ravenhill Removals expanded to serve clients across the UK and Europe.
Today, we’re proud to help individuals and businesses relocate for all kinds of reasons, from local house moves to large-scale office relocations. Many of our clients return to us time and time again, and recommend us to their friends and family, because of the trusted reputation we’ve built over the years.
We operate a reliable fleet of 3.5-tonne LWB Luton vans, ideal for most removals. While most jobs require just one or two vans, we’re fully equipped to scale up for larger moves involving three or more vehicles.
In June 2021, we launched Moving Ewe Ltd (Reg. 13438120), with a new base in Birmingham. This strategic move allows us to support customers across a wider area. While Moving Ewe Ltd is our registered name, we continue to operate under the well-known Ravenhill Removals brand, trusted by customers for nearly two decades.

We are experts in the field of removals so you can rest assured that any move you book with us will be taken care of in a professional and efficient way. All items are treated with care and respect and moved as safely as possible to their new destination by our strong team of removals operatives.
When you book a packing service with us, a comprehensive checklist is made of each box so you know exactly where everything has been packed, and more importantly, it is labelled and delivered to the correct place in the new building. This also ensures that nothing is left behind and everything is ticked off and checked with the customer as it is unloaded from the van.
We encounter heavy furniture on a daily basis. Everything from American fridge freezers, to reclining sofas and upright pianos! Our removals operatives have vast amounts of experience in dealing with these items and can manoeuvre them in and out of the trickiest of environments, up and down stairs and through narrow entrances.
Removals isn't just about carrying things to and from the van. Preparation is the key to every job, with removals being no exception. All furniture needs to be wrapped and protected prior to moving to ensure its safety while transporting to the van, especially if gaps are tight and there's every chance it may get caught while passing surfaces that stick out.
We might be based in Sheffield, but this doesn't stop us helping people move in areas all across the country. In fact, only about 5% of our jobs are on home turf and we usually find ourselves moving people many miles outside of Sheffield and even into Europe from time to time.
